A Quick Update From Chiang Mai

Nov 16, 2017

Not too much to update here but I wanted to post something. It’s been a busy and uninteresting week. It’s hard to remember that we both have adult responsibilities while we’re here. Lauren’s semester is in the final stretch and my work is picking up with Black Friday just around the corner. Pretty much every day we find ourselves packing our bags, grabbing lunch, and finding a cafe to work in for a few hours.

Last week we went ziplining in the jungle which was a ton of fun. The course had 16 total ziplines with bridges, repelling, and jungle trekking in between. We saw the biggest spiders we’ve ever seen and would prefer to never see them again. I wish we had taken videos of the actual ziplining, but I wasn’t ready to risk my phone.

Yesterday we booked tickets to Krabi for my 30th birthday trip. We’ll be there from November 28th – December 6th. We’re staying in Ao Nang for two days and then taking a ferry to Koh Lanta, where we’ll spend the rest of our trip. We’re also doing a series of island tours so there will be plenty of snorkeling, cliff jumping, and sightseeing.

We plan on being tourists this weekend and visiting some of the temples in the mountains. Here are some pictures from ziplining plus some other sights and food from the past weeks:
